During this blockchain themed hackathon my team and I created an application that served as a frontend to the Interplanetary filesystem, which heaviliy relied on using encrytion to securely uplad and transfer data using this decentralized system.
During this Hackathon my partner and I created a VR application intended for conducting interviews remotely. We used unity as well as the native oculus go and google daydream sdks to create the basic VR environments, along with Photon Unity Networking (PUN) to take care of our client synchronization and voice communication.
Spotcheck is an android app that does spot by spot tracking for parking lots and garages by using simple and affordable bluetooth beacons. The app wash built using android studio along with the altbeacon library, and integrates with firebase cloud firestore for syncronization and potential future expansion.
Triptracker is a full stack application that helps a user track data about their vehicle and is ultimately intended to give an estimate of the cost of owning and operating a vehicle. We used a python script with heavy use of the python-obd library to interface with an ELM327 obd adapter. The python script reads and processes vehicle sensor data then converts it to a JSON blob that can be posted to a webserver, where the user can view their data on real-time graphs remotely.
This app is designed to assist those who face the challenges of vision and hearing impairment in their day to day lives using a variety of visual filters and live audio transcription across languages. Designed as a lightweight webapp, the project is intended to be integrated into various AR Headsets in order to have as small of an impact as possible.
